I was testing out my scanner useing a Red Skeleton dvd.  It is able to read an see the scan code, thing is that it says that its not listed or recongized.  Is there a way you can make your own list an allow for such.

Yes.
By using the DVDProfiler menu "DVD -> Add DVD ..." Use the tab "Add by UPC/EAN" and make sure to uncheck the "Download from Invelos"-box in the lower left corner of the window.

When finished with this you'll find a new, empty profile in your database.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Look for a button of a DVD with a + sign on it on the menu bar.  It should open up a new window that defaults to a UPC entry field.

Note that if your UPC contains more digits after the normal UPC, you'll have to either manually input them or remove them.

Good UPC:

If you want to update your profiles or adding a new profile with downloading the informations from the database, you have to let connect it.

But you can also add new profiles and download them later.

The program will always try to connect in order to download and process the online profile list.  I do not know if this can be bypassed.

I think they meant they were using the scanner to add the DVD to their collection.
