| Posted: | | | | Too late now for you, but always do a database repair before backing up. It minimizes the possiblity of a corrupt backup.
Probably only one or two profiles are corrupted. For finding them you could use the partial restore. Start with the second half of your collection, if the error still occurs reduce the restore to the third quarter of your collection then to eighth and so forth until you located the profiles. Delete them in your database and re-download them from the online database afterwards.

| Posted: | | | | Based on the error and description, I suspect you have 1 or more images that are corrupt. I'm not quite sure the best way to track down the image(s) it's having issues with. I don't believe there's anything in the program to help with this. I looked at my Database Query plugin, but I don't see anything in there that would help track down the problem. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Although I don't know if my problem was related or not, but backing up my database kept freezing at the cover images part. What I did to solve this was flagging my profiles and updating images from Invelos. Not sure if this will solve your problem or not and you will lose any custom images you might have had set. Although you can just not flag those if you do have them. I'd try it though and see if that helps you. | Posted: | | | | You might try making a copy of your images folder. If there's a problem with one of the images, Windows might tell you which one it's having a problem copying. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for all the advice, i refreshed all images which has cured the problem. Just a pity Profiler doesn't have some way of identifying corrupt images. |

No response to my request for help.... what happen's next? Obviously there has been a couple of upgrades since the first post in this thread, but where do I go to from here if the problem hasn't been fixed by now? Did you try Ninehours solution? First I'd suggest going to Tools>Options>Utilities and select Clean Images Directory to delete any images in your database that are no longer used then from the menu choose Online>Refresh All Images. | Posted: | | | | Hi Max, Thanks for your post. I am still considering that option, although I am hesitating. I generally prefer using my own scanned images rather than the online images. I have colour profiled, clearer/sharper, correct sized, cropped where neccessary, images for my profile entries and deliberately avoid using the auto update feature. I only download images for profiles in my wishlist or ordered lists. As soon as I enter a new DVD into my collection, I scan my own images into my updated profiles which I then lock.
Generally speaking, prior to this issue starting a few weeks ago, I would always run the Database repair option once a week, update online profile, then run backup in that order.
I have a backup server. If I clean out the images directory, I will try and restore images from the back up and failing that, I will do a restore of images for each profile one at a time.
