| | Posted: | | | | Re-loaded DVD Profiler after clean install of Windows 7, and note that the date format in my 'Watched History' has defaulted to U.S. date format. I have had a hunt around Options and Help but haven't been able to find the means of switching to European date format. Search hasn't been much help either. Could someone advise please? |

I checked Windows date settings which are in fact correctly set to U.K. format (dd/mm/yyyy) - this was selected during the install process. Date is formatting correctly in all other applications to date. Another problem encountered is that all my previous 'watched by' entries are missing, although I am able to raise a complete list which has been filtered somehow. I continue to experiment, and will post if solutions are found. I am about to delete DVD Profiler and install again, in case I missed something.  |

Before replying I even checked it by changing temporarily my date settings in Vista to US English, and that did change the date format in DVDP's General info-window. According to that the program really does use the date format of your operating system, but apparently that of Win7 is not yet supported (even if it is otherwise supported(?)) | | | Mika

All a bit of a mystery - I have hunted high and low on Windows and Profiler for a solution, without luck. I can only conclude that during the backup and install of either the OS or the database that it has somehow corrupted a setting. Will report if anything changes. I should add that the U.S. date format applies all dates throughout my Layout, not just the Watch History listings. It is irretrievably the default setting. | | | | Last edited: by DanH |

Just as a matter of interest, as you were running the beta version of Windows 7 (the full release only occuring at end of October) does that imply a clean install or an upgrade from XP? If the latter then that could be why you retained the U.K. date format. I just cannot comprehend why DVD Profiler has converted to the U.S. format in my database. |

My version of Win 7 is a clean install not any kind of upgrade. |

I have the same Problem with the actual version 3.8.1 of DVDP.
I've found an old installer and have installed version 3.7.1, but the same problem as with the actual version. The date is always shown as "mm/dd/yyyy".
My OS is actual Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on my new PC and my date-setting is "dd.mm.yyyy". All other Applications that show a date are using this format to display dates. Only DVDP seems no to care about the OS-settings.
I have changed the OS settings several times and the date display changed along the settings whereever I checked it, but not in DVDP.
On my old PC, Windows XP is running and the date display (last installed version on that machine was 3.7.1) was always correct since version 2.x.
So, is there any help available now? |
