Trying to update my online profile list for version 3.5.1 to no avail.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Has anyone been successful in updating their online profile list recently?  My last successful update was Sept 2009.

What exactly is the error message?

Try the follwing:

Go to the following folder C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\DVD Profiler
(you may have to enable to see hidden folders)

There are two files: OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod

Delete them.

Retry to download the list.

There is no error message.  The download just sits there and does nothing.  Even tried downloading the file from the knowlegebase link and same thing happens.

Also tried deleting the two .dod files but same thing, the download just hangs.  There's no problem with other downloads from the internet so I'm not sure what's the issue.

Can you access/download the list from the linke in the knowledgebase?

Have you tested your internet connection under Tools->Options->Online?

Just tried and it downloads fine.

Please check your "Hosts" file (located in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\ and is simply named "Hosts"). Remove all "Invelos"-related entries and try again afterwards.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

- Internet connection to Invelos Servers returns successful.
- Checked the host file.  No Invelos entries are in there.
- Pinged www.invelos.com and got 75.125.61.130 (59 ms).

Still not able to download from the knowledgebade link or through the DVD Profiler program itself.  I'm still on the unregistered (free) version.  Could this be the issue?

Did you try a database repair?

Yup, tried a database repair and that didn't help either.  Interestingly though, I downloaded the online profile list from the knowledgebase link at a friend's house and I was able to download it successfully.  So perhaps the issue is with my internet settings or firewall.  Thanks everyone for your help.  It's greatly appreciated.
