| Posted: | | | | I've noticed this in the past but always assumed it was me not actually adding a watched event to the profile but I know this last occurrence wasn't caused by that.
Basically, I had a dvd that I put a loan event on. I even had to add a new user to loan it to. Well yesterday they borrowed another movie so I went to loan it out to them. The user wasn't in the system (so obviously the loan/return event for the previous movie wasn't there either). I was 110% sure I had added the event (still need to go through some backups and see If i can recover it). Here is the interesting part: the event is present on my mobile. And I've sync'd fairly recently, this past tuesday.
Now, I did swap out a my OS hard drive between these two and had to reinstall the system, but my database is on a different drive so I didn't even need to restore from backup to get it back. just pointed it back to the old location, so I don't know if some stuff got lost in this.
Like I said, gonna check some backups I have, and even try to pull it from the mobile (probably do an overwrite desktop from mobile in a new db than can back).
So I don't know if there is something I did to loose this info (I did not remove the user). If anyone has any ideas that would be great. But like I've said, I don't think this is the first time because I've been pretty sure I've marked titles as watched and the next time i watch it and go to add an event it has last watched never so not so sure it was just me not really marking it watched anymore but possibly a bug. Anyone else experience similar?

| Posted: | | | | This could be completly wrong, but I had this happen to me when I created a new database to keep track of rental movies I've watched. I was in there as a user, but someone else wasn't, but I knew I had entered her. Finally figured out I hadn't set her ratings past a certain level and had to give her the permission to watch/rent movies.
Tools, Edit Users, then move the slider bar to the far right and make sure both check boxes are clicked (borrows dvds, watches dvds). | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | well after I clicked on 'Loan To' and the user wasn't there this was my first thought (though immediate after thought is I think the ratings are the same if not the previously loaned movie had a higher rating). Anyway, I then went to the Add/Edit user screen to check and the user wasn't listed at all, so allowed rating and allowed actions clearly wasn't the issue. Plus the event on the movie I know I marked as loaned out to them was gone on the desktop yet is still present on my mobile. Something caused the event to vanish. Whether it's a bug or something I inadvertently did I dunno. Though the only thing I can think of that could have caused it would be the reinstall (but the database was unchanged so why would I loose just one and their events). And the fact that I have sync'd with the mobile version and it's still present on there is confusing too. If the user and/or event was removed on the desktop and I sinked, shouldn't it be removed from mobile? Like I said I think I'll know more once I can check out some backups and play around with overwriting desktop with mobile (and maybe vice versa) but I won't be able to do that until probably sunday. Appreciate the attempt at a solution\cause though. This just concerns me cause I now worry about my watched history's integrity -Agrare |
