I would like the ability to increase the number of green arrows I give daily. I often run out and have to wait until the next day to thank someone with a greenie. Sooo...please give me more!

Personal opinion here... but I think there should be no limit on how many green arrows you can give (on different posts of course... 1 per post is plenty!) I mean if you feel a post is good and worthy of a green arrow you should be able to do it. Not have to worry about if you are going to run out before the day is over.

TBH, I've never run out of green arrows. But that's because I reserve them for posts in the tech support, contribution and feature request forums. For me, to deserve a green arrow, the posting must have some feasible value, like an answer in the tech support that helps someone with a problem, or a great plugin, or a feature request where I think that's a great idea.

I don't hand out green arrows just because someone copied an image URL from icanhascheezburger.com into a certain topic here.

That's my approach too, even though on some days I wish I had a lot more green arrows, or maybe could trade them in: 3 reds for 1 green.

That was introduced when the Moderation trial was brought in. The red arrow doesn't directly effect your rating now but is a way of reporting the post.

Edit: On topic, I don't see a problem with increasing the number of greens per day a bit. I probably wouldn't make it that high though for the reasons hinted at above which is that some will just use them on the "junk" threads where the actual post is just of a cat, dog, etc....
