I've just done an update on Battlestar Galactica: The Final Season: Disc 1 (That's 4.5 to those in the US).
The disc has a set of 'Podcast Commentaries' for each of the four episodes.
These are available from the extras menu or via the Audio button on the remote.
The profile, before I touched it, had them listed as 'Podcast Commentaries' in the Other Features; and no commentary tracks was in the audio section and the Commentary box wasn't ticked in features.
I changed this to: Commentary box ticked. Commentary audio track added. Removed Podcast commentaries from Other Features as rules state not to duplicate extras.
I have received a NO vote and a PM stating that I am wrong to do so because they are called 'Podcast Commentaries' and should be listed as such.
My argument is that, when it comes down to it, they are people talking through the episodes and they're called commentaries.
Now, maybe I'm being obtuse and too rigid here. What does everyone else think - I'm quite happy to change it back if people think it should stay as it is. |

Personally, when I hear podcast commentary, I think of some standalone thing that I have to play on a seperate mp3 player and sync up manually. That I would not consider to be a regular commentary as most people understand it. |

They seem to be keeping that name, calling them 'Podcast Commentaries', so that people will know what they are getting. But, at the end of the day, they are just commentaries. If the people are talking and nothing or something else than the main feature is shown, then it's something else like maybe a featurette. It doesn't matter what this feature is called on the menu or cover. |

Just because they were originally done as podcasts makes no difference; when they are then synced with the images on the DVD as an audio track they should be profiled as such. As an aside I do think it's good that the DVD distributor has listed them the way they have though, so any potential purchaser knows that they aren't unique to the DVD release. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

If you input it like that in the complete set, I'd gladly give you a yes vote (sorry, I don't have the 4.5 only release) | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |
