| Posted: | | | | Sometimes profiles are made on DVDs that do not have the cast and crew lists but others do. For example Coraline. I want to take the cast and crew info of one of the DVDs that has it (the Bluray one) and paste it into the regular DVD that's missing the info. How can I do this? |

| Posted: | | | | I'll let others explain the process which gets repeated weekly, because they do it much better than I. But i will stress that you should verify any copied data against the Actual disc i your possession. It is KNOWN (1)that cast and Crew data are nort always consistent across versions, Regions or localities and (2) sometimes users do not follow the Rules but still get data into the system and if clone bad data all that is done is magnify a problem. So always check the data aginst the REAL data from your disc.

| Posted: | | | | Here's how to copy cast and crew lists from one profile to another. For Cast: 1. Open the source profile 2. Open the Edit Profile window (DVD / Edit). 3. Go to Cast. 4. Right click in the column to the right of the window (where all cast members and their roles are listed). 5. Choose Copy All Cast. 6. Cllick OK. 7. Now go to the target profile 8. Open the Edit Profile window. 9. Go to Cast. 10. Right click in the column to the right 11. Choose Paste All Cast. 12. Click OK.
Done!
For Crew the procedure works the same way (of course, go to Crew in the Edit Profile window).
And BTW: Skip's advice is very sound.
Good luck!

Skip Skip, I know you try to help, but please don't fortget that not every question being asked is about the contribution process. Your answers focus too often just on the rules without answering the original question. This is the tech support forum, not the contribution forum. Maybe he just wants a cast list on his profile and is contempt with what he gets from another profile. No offense intended. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
