| Posted: | | | | Just found that the "most trusted man in America," Walter Cronkite has died. As a CBS anchorman he covered some of the most important stories of our time and he will be missed. | | | We're on a mission from God.

| Posted: | | | | Haven't really been very upset by a lot of the other recent passings, but this feels like the end of an era. Journalism simply isn't what it was in Cronkite's day, and he has been (and will be even more now) missed. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

Journalists used to have to actually travel to the places they were getting their stories from, check their facts, and report the news impartially even if they disagreed with it. It was about facts not feelings. Then again Mr. Cronkite did start reporting during the American Civil War and values were different then. What it is, what it was, what it shell be, Good-night. Good luck Mr. Cronkite the news just got better reported wherever you are. |
