| Posted: | | | | Hello.
I use the LG HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L in combination with Power DVD and it works just fine for watching the movies. Now I wanted to set the missing disc IDs in my collection - but DVD-Profiler says, it cannot read an ID - can anybody help?
Thx alot! JD |

| Posted: | | | | is DVD profiler set to use that drive?
not exactly sure on the location (don't have dvd profiler on this computer) but I think its Options->Settings (possibly tools) there is a place to set the drive that DVD profiler uses to read discs. Make sure that is set to the drive letter of your drive.

| Posted: | | | | yes it is... thank you - DVD Profiler tries to open the disc, I can hear the drive working, then it stops and gives the information - cannot read Disc ID

| Posted: | | | | Do you have anything running in the system tray (AnyDVD or some helper program of an Image Burning program or a DVD player program) which might lock the drive for exclusive use? | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Also, is this just a specific Blu-ray giving you trouble or is it all Blu-rays?

Just FYI, I have the LG GBC-H20L on Vista 64 with AnyDVD and PowerDVD. Just loaded Amadeus Blu-Ray and Profiiler recognized it automatically and downloaded the profile. I also tested using the "SET" button in the edit discs, and the BD disc ID was picked up. I know the LG model is different, but that shouldn't matter, right? I suspect you have a configuration problem. What happens when you try to "explore" a BD in windows explorer? If you get an error there, it will indicate that you have a problem. If not, perhaps a re-install of the latest DVD Profiler is in order??? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Quoting SpaceFreakMicha: Quote: You need an "UDF Driver", without you are not able to read the file system in explorer or the Disc-ID in DVD Profiler. At least under Win XP, because it does not support UDF 2.50 without a specific driver.
Edit: Can'f find a specific one for the mentioned drive, but I have the same drive as "tachycard" and it worked for me: http://www.consolesource.com/support/index.php?_a=viewdownload&_m=downloads&downloaditemid=48 THANK YOU, this worked just fine. Many greetings, Jan |
