| Posted: | | | | Only a minor thing, but in the "comparison"-window or the "edit profile"-window the release date info is named "DVD Release", even when you select a BluRay. A format-neutral name like "Release" or "Release Date" would be better / more correct. |

| Posted: | | | | I have no problem with that but you'll also want to rename the field "DVD Title" shown in your second screen shot & the name of the software as well |

On the one hand I see your point, on the other hand...
DVD title would also be incorrect according to your reasoning. To make them Title and Release Date respectively would create an ambiguity. At the moment it is very clear from the label names that the title and release date of the DVD or Blue-Ray are meant. |

| Posted: | | | | While I do see your point, the thing with changing it to "Release Date" is that people might start confusing it with the theatrical release date of the movie. Perhaps something like "Media Release Date" would solve this.
BTW: if I were to name one field that desperately needs renaming, it would be Production Year. That should be renamed to "Original Release Year" or something like that. |

| Posted: | | | | Speaking personally and I hope I don't upset my friend Space. I find this much ado about nothing. The program has used the terminology as it is now for many years, changes even "minor" ones such as this inevitably cause problems somewhere, perhaps with users. As long as I can see that a title is BD or DVD then what the title is called or the Release Date is really not relevant to me.
We have users who, all the time, demonstrate that they do not understand the difference between SRP and Purchase Price. This will always happen, no matter how clear it might seem to be in either the Program or the Rules.

| Posted: | | | | While DVD doesn't actually stand for anything (see the DVD FAQ), I've heard Digital Video Disc and Digital Versatile Disc tossed around quite often. Blu-ray (and HD DVD) both fit those definitions. So for the second time today, I have to agree with Skip. I would support those fields being renamed, but it doesn't really bother me. I'd much rather see Production Year get fixed first! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Couldn't you use a simple translation file to accomplish this? I haven't actually used or even looked at translation files but wouldn't this be similar to people using them to rename the owned, ordered, wishlist tabs?
