Hello forum. First time user here, as this is the first time in my experience with DVD Profiler that I've needed help from other users. I have a database I use to catalog my Criterion Collection DVDs and in the case of some the Blu-Ray titles, DVD Profiler automatically adds the blue Blu-Ray stripe to the top of the image both in the thumbnail on the left and in the larger image on the right. The Blu stripes are not present on the disc covers themselves. It's like DVD Profiler is adding a placeholder or something above the cover image. This only occurs on about 1 of 3 Blu-Rays I add to the database. The others look normal. Why is this occurring and is it possible to remove the Blu stripe? Given Criterion's painstaking attention to the detail over how their covers look, the Blu stripes are huge eyesores to me.

Sorry in advance if this has been covered elsewhere.

Profiler adds the stripe unless you have Slip Cover ticked.  This is to replicate the appearance of most Blu-rays.  As a workaround, you can tick Slip Cover (next to the Case Type on the General Information tab of the profile).

And welcome to the Forum!

Oh wow, that did the trick! I wouldn't have thought that's what the program was up to. Thanks for the help and the welcome.

Actually that makes perfect sense now that I consider for a moment that the offending disc images are those whose respective discs are packaged in plastic keepcases rather than slipcovered or in paper digipaks.

I would suggest only using this workaround if you want to turn off the banner on certain titles. If you want it turned off for all titles, you can define that in the Options settings:

1. Tools menu, Options
2. Display tab
3. Uncheck "Show banners for HD media in HD cases"
4. Click OK
5 Done.
