| Posted: | | | | Maybe I am too stupid, but -- how can I start a serious search in the forum? E.g. before opening a new error thread I'd like to find out if that error has been reported before. But how? In the search, more keywords trigger more results. That's ridiculous! I wonder that there was never a discussion about searching the forum before, but maybe there was a discussion and I haven't found it |

| Posted: | | | | Easiest method is to use Google.
Enter your search terms then append the phrase site:invelos.com and only this site will be searched. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | @tweeter: You want to tell me that the "Search forums" function is of no use and I should start a search on an external search engine?
Then, why do we have that "Search forums" function? Obviously it needs improvement... | | | Last edited: by Easy |

| Posted: | | | | The search function give pretty poor results. I have no idea why, but this board is not one of the commercially available bbs systems, but is self-written by Ken because it is tied into the contribution system. While it would be nice to have a better search function, I'd rather Ken spend his time on the program itself and the enhanced online system that is forthcoming rather than minutia like search. As tweeter pointed out, using the google "search this site" work quite well.
Hope that helps you understand. | | | Kevin |
