| Posted: | | | | Hi All,
I am new to DVD Profiler and have just started adding all my movie titles to the DB.
I am however missing some titles as they do not show in the list when I search or the movie description, even though states that the region is 1 (USA) the text is in another language.??
How can I go about finding these movies and updating my DB.??
I am missing the following:
Nims Island The Cycle Trainwreck: My Life as an Idiot War Inc. Echelon Conspiracy Fall Down Dead Girl's Best Friend La Linea (The Line)
Look forward to chatting real soon..
Regards

| Posted: | | | | Hi Julius, It is correct that some of these titles cannot be found, not even even you look them up in all regions. "The Cycle" seems not to be added anywhere in the world, so the honour is completely yours to be the one to do so. When you see a profile (in R1 for example) in another language, that means someone had hastily uploaded a profile (by just only changing the UPC of a foreign release). Again, the community friendly invites you to contribute profiles of releases not yet added to the database, or to correct what is wrong Kind regards, Tom |

| Posted: | | | | Are you searching for new titles by Name or using the UPC code? If you aren't using the UPC code try that.
I don't own any of these but found, via name search, four unique Nim's Island Region 1 profiles and two War, Inc.. The Nim's Island were all in English. I didn't check the War, Inc..
But if i owned them i'd be searching by UPC to make sure i get the right details and artwork.
And Region 1 isn't just U.S. but could be French Canadian i believe. Or someone could have screwed up. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | As far as the wish list, I use it to maintain a list of DVDs I'd like to have - literally a wish list (I wish I had The Slipper and the Rose). Then I can point my friends & family to my list and say, here, this is a list of stuff I want for Yule/birthday/random gift-giving. I've heard others use it to maintain a list of DVDs owned by other folks in their home - say if me and my ex-roommate still lived together and I wanted to maintain a list of the stuff she owned vs. the stuff I owned, I could use the wishlist section for that. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

Same here; that's exactly how it's intended to be used AIUI... though as you say some people are more 'creative' in what they actually use it for. Quoting Jolly181 Quote: Arrrhhhh.... Well if you have an item in your Wish list by the correct UPC/EAN, and your collection is uploaded to online (which yours is) then if/when someone uploads a profile to the Db it will show up in the list of ipdated profiles when you Refresh Update Profiles. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
