Hi,

I remember seeing some comedies in the early 80s. It was a series of about 5 films I believe. You could compare them to Porky's, and they all had 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll soundtracks. Typical teenage comedy stuff set in the 50s or 60s.

I actually need the titles to look if the soundtracks were ever released on CD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wild guess: "Eskimo Limon"? Also known as "Eis am Stiel" if you know them by their german title.

Does anyone know if there's an "English friendly" version available? (Doubt the German box set has English subtitles). My German skills are not what they used to be during the time when I visited family in Kassel (and Derrick was on Norwegian television  )

According to the info in the database there's only German subtitles. A search through the database does turn up 5013037087796 for a 4 film UK box set. It does seem to be available at Amazon UK

There is a boxset with 9 movies available with English audio (no subtitles). I don't know about the quality though.

This looks more legit, but only has 4 movies.

The German versions don't seem to have any English audio or Subs.

I did found an Israeli release (original Hebrew, with English subtitles), so I guess I'll go for this one:

Complete boxset

According to information on www.bol.de, the German version does have an English sound track.

I don't really trust that. Amazon.de does not list it, and neither do the covers, since they are already in DVDPro.
But thanks for the info anyway.

I've also been able to find the soundtracks for the first 7 movies on amazon.de. Will be looking into purchasing some of this, since they are really nice Rock 'n' Roll compilations.

I don't own them myself, but maybe it helps you that the website of the distributor, "Universum Film", lists german and english audio ("Sprachen" = "languages"):

Thanks, not sure if I want to buy them though. The soundtracks on the other hand, I will check out.

Another big thanks to all for helping me find the titles.
