| Posted: | | | | Hi I just downloaded the latest version and entered my premium key. Everything looks good except I cannot scan. I have a SerialIO Laserchamp scanner with the SerialIO software and the scanner is suppossed to hold up to 2500 barcodes. The problem is I cannot find anywhere in the software or the site how to enable DVD Profiler to accept the input from the Barcode scanner |

| Posted: | | | | Profiler can only accept input from scanners that output the barcodes as normal numbers. If you open notepad and scan a barcode, do you see the numbers appear? If not, or if your scanner can't be configured that way then unfortunately I don't think it will work in Profiler. If it does then you should be able to open the Add DVD window and on the Add by UPC tab you can scan the barcodes and if any matches are found they'll be displayed. If you want to do a batch of barcodes make sure you clear the "prompt for personalisation" box. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks northbloke. That works. The only thing is that when I do more than one UPC it puts them all sequentially. Should I force the scanner to insert a return carriage after each UPC? |

| Posted: | | | | I got the Opticon OPN 2001 mainly to work with Collectorz.com Game Collector, but I wanted to use it with DVD Profiler as well. It does not put anything in the screen when I have Notepad open and I scan a UPC. Of course, it doesn't work with DVD Profiler either.
So what is the deal? Why can Invelos update to work with this scanner if Collectorz.com has the hooks? Any other ideas for any workarounds? |
