| Posted: | | | | I'm having a problem with the .DOD files in the Windows "documents & settings" causing my available windows profile space to be exceeded. I have a fixed size roaming profile, that I can't do anything to alter by company policy. Is there any way to force DVDProfiler to store these files in a alternate (non-profile) location please? Any pointers gratefully accepted!

| Posted: | | | | Roaming Profiles suck for a variety of reasons. You should tell your IT group to get rid of them and go with folder redirection. That said, I have the same problem and I am an IT manager. Here are a few suggestions:
You can move a lot of the files out of your profile by going to Tools > Options > File Folders
Task Manager is your friend. CTRL + ALT + DEL > Task List > Processes and end the Proquota.exe Process. (Presto, no more quota). |

If I could give you more than one Green Arrow I would! Having to move the .DODs out of my profile (with other files I probably should't have on my work laptop ) every evening then copying them back in in the morning is a real trial. I sadly have very little say about what the outsourced IT company chooses to do for the 100,000 employees we have worldwide at least i've got "developer" status so I can add programs they don't want me to (sorry, have approved but are non-standard) on my PC, such as DVDP (though AIUI you can do this with a straight copy which avoids and registry changes which are locked down). | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
