| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I’ve discovered a problem with Version 3.5.1 Build 1252 - it relates to turning off the locks to enable a profile to be updated.
I have the lock on all my DVD’s set to Entire DVD and so I have to remove the lock to enable the DVD to be updated. This shows what happens:-
Run Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos Select a profile and hit Preview Changes Hit “Edit Locks” then remove the tick from Entire DVD Hit OK Hit OK again in the Profile / Image Comparison window Hit cancel in the Refresh Updated DVD Profiles window
Now navigate to the DVD in the Owned section and select Refresh Profile and Images from the Online tab
It doesn’t get updated even though the lock is shown as being off
Follow the same procedure, but turn the lock off by right clicking on the DVD and refresh the profile as above and it updates as it should.
It seems as though Skip This Update is being set when you remove the lock via the preview window.
Anyone else able to verify this?
I think this has been the case with previous releases as well |

| Posted: | | | | why are you doing it in such a complicated way?
Run Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos Select Update none Select a profile and hit Preview Changes
on the preview screen then select the update partial box (I have all my profiles up to date so I can't check what exactly it's called) Tick the fields you want updated Select Ok
job done - no need to remove locks (or do anything with the locks).
Select next profile, do the same, then when you have finished select the final ok and it will apply the changes you have selected.
The ones you haven't previewed will be just left and you can look at those another day. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks a lot - this is great - the reason I wasn't doing it your way was that I didn't know you could.....
For anyone else who's interested I think you mean by "Select Update none" don't tick the Refresh Profile and Cover Images fields on the Refresh Updated DVD Profiles screen and the partial update box is actually called "Accept Partial".
Thanks once again, it'll make things a lot easier from now on.
Nevertheless there's still a problem with my complicated way of doing it which shouldn't be there, I think. |

For anyone else who's interested I think you mean by "Select Update none" don't tick the Refresh Profile and Cover Images fields on the Refresh Updated DVD Profiles screen no - without being able to check (still all up to date) so I can't check the wording - you can right click on the list of profiles and one of the options is then to un-selects all the changes. This then means you can chosse which profiles to preview/accept or reject. (This helps if you have a load of changes since you can do some one day and the rest another. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | OK - Still not too sure what to select on the right click - but it doesn't seem necessary anyway. As long as the two refresh boxes are not ticked ( which they aren't anyway as the whole profile is locked ) your method works perfectly.
Refresh Profiles - Select the Profile - Preview - Accept Partial - Select fields to update - OK - OK
Select as many as you like before the final OK.
Works like a charm.
Thanks once again. |

This option is not available if your entire collection is locked. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
