Well, I would say the first option makes a full (all data) backup on flagged profiles.
The second option backups only selected data (e.g. only the covers) on flagged profiles.

If I were to send you a "Boxset with Childs"-Profile, but be concerned about file-size and privacy I would do a 'Custom Backup' with only 'Include Profiles' and 'flagged entries only'.

Looks to me like a bad UI design.  Unless I'm missing the point, I think the Flagged Entries Only could separate from Full or Custom.  I'm guessing it works just fine, it's just unnecessary to combine them in that way.

I think it is meant to be that way.  The first option does a complete backup of the flagged profiles.  The second does a custom backup of the flagged profiles.

Let's say you have a custom cast/crew list on one of your profiles.  If you wanted to share that data with another user you would do a custom backup, selecting only cast and crew, then select flagged entry only so that you only backed up the cast and crew from the selected profile.

If that option wasn't there, the user you were sharing your profile with would have to accept the entire profile.

Did that make sense?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I'm still not getting it.  I think a cleaner interface would be to have section 1 where you could pick full backup (meaning all fields) or custom backup (just cast & crew for example).  Then in section 2, you should be able to choose if you would like that backup (either full or custom) to be of the entire collection or just the flagged profiles.

It seems like the current method is akin to looking at a menu and seeing individual listings for steak and mashed potatoes, steak and baked potato, steak and fries, steak and fresh vegetable, steak and side salad, etc.  It make more sense to list steak once, then allow the user to select their side independently.  I think it makes more sense to pick which fields you wish to backup (including all of them), then allow them to choose which profiles they want to backup independently.

I think that would make for a cleaner interface.  But that's just me.
