As with most of you, when you purchased DVDProfiler you entered your existing collection in a big session either manually or with a barcode scanner.  I've been collecting DVDs since almost the beginning, my first title was "The Thing" (Kurt Russel), and my first DVD player (a Sony) cost me over $850 if I remember correctly.

Anyhow, none of that is important.

But what I do know, is that 99% of the time back then I purchased my DVDs on the release date, or within a couple of days.  When I first scanned my collection in to DVDPro, it set the purchase date to the scan date.

Is there a way to go through my entire collection automatically and set the purchase date to the release date?

I've a brief look at the "Bulk Edit" plugin, but unless I'm missing something, it won't do what I need.

Thanks,
Scott (Poo)

I'm not sure about how to do this in a group, but there is a way of setting the purchase date to release date.  If you go into personal information, click on the calandar next to the purchase date.  This will reset it to the release date.  So, at the very least, you can do it, it just might take a while...

Thanks LJG, I'm aware of the ability to change each one separately/manually.  I'm looking for an automated option.

You might want to take a look at the plugin BulkEdit.

I'm at work right now. When I get home later this morning, I'll check.

I made a change that allows mass copying between those two date fields. If you want to try it now, send me a PM. Just don't copy those date fields anywhere else - still chasing a bug there.
