If the post is longer than the editing frame, and you go to the bottom, the cursor remains at the bottom, but the view always jumps to the top. Every letter you type, you briefly view the bottom, than the view jumps to the top again.

| | Posted: | | | | I've been on Firefox for a few years now. I made the move due to the security issues with IE, and found that Firefox was a darn good browser. Now I only use IE when I have no choice, such as on Microsoft web sites. |

Oh well - I wouldn't consider FF only as a workaround. Even if it's necessary to use the IE engine (e.g. sharepoint sites) I use the IE tab plugin. So no need to use the IE!  | | | | Thorsten |

Skip I installed the IE8 the day before yesterday (I was just curious!  ) and had some crashes today. So, FF remains my Nr. 1 browser, Opera the Nr. 2 | | | | Thorsten |

There is an add-on for Firefox called 'IE Tab' that allows you to change the rendering engine in Firefox to make it compatible for those sites that only run right on IE. I have yet to find any such sight that doesn't work flawlessly with this Firefox add-on. You can even build a white list of domains via IE Tab that will automatically switch to the IE side whenever you go to them in Firefox. | | | John

| | Posted: | | | | I installed this nightmare a couple of days ago and have had nothing but problems with lockups and crashes. GRRRRR! I should have stayed with IE7. I'm mostly having problems with Adobe Shockwave and Adobe PDF plug-ins (which I used daily).

| | Posted: | | | | The only reason i use IE (any version) is there is no iSilox for IE, and a few software/hardware support pages demand IE.. I've yet to find a problem with Firefox on the net. I afree with others to rollback to version 7.
