| Posted: | | | | Just ran into this credit: "Visual Effects Art Director" for Grant Freckleton in "300" While I tend to option 3 (Do not enter), I thought I'd better ask what you think about it. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I had the same credit in a profile I did yesterday; The Dreaming, UPC 9316020510155; after agonising over it for half hour or so I decided it in all honesty it didn't fit any of the approved job descriptions. | Posted: | | | | Hmm, I would have initially entered that as Art Director, and did vote that way. Then, I zoomed over the the rules section and then changed my vote. If it were me, I wouldn't enter it. |

| Posted: | | | | In my opinion, this isn't a lot different from location crew. Presumably they did perform that function for a piece of the film, but were subordinate to the overall vision of the primary creators. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

| Posted: | | | | Ran into a similar situation and still not sure exactly how to proceed. Film is Bio-Dome (1996) 1) I would assume Brad Kuehn would qualify for Visual Effects 2) I would use Group Header for Cinesite 3) Carlos Arguello is in my local for 6 profiles, all under Visual Effects. He is under Cinesite for Armageddon and Batman & Robin for Visual Effects. I do think it is different than location crew as I'd think Brad Kuehn would be a valid entry. This is also different because it does specifically say 'Art Director' and not Digital Effects Art Director. I'm going to proceed with Cinesite & Brad Kuehn, but hold off on Arguello. | Posted: | | | | I left him out of the R4 profile as I reasoned there were two other art directors already credited. Also he's lumped in there with the Digital Effects crew which was a bit suspicious to me.
