| Posted: | | | | I have the latest version of DVDProfiler installed. I am a paid registered user. I have tried numerous times to 'Refresh Online List'... the filesize is 14+ mb. The download will never complete. It just throws up an error message box when it gets near the end. I wanted to try the refresh because for the last couple months, I seem to have to put every new dvd I get in by hand (add all manually) as this site doesn't have the profiles for them. This is very upsetting after I paid the $30 for registration. Before this started happening though, I was able to add in a new dvd the day it was released. Have people stopped adding profiles for movies here? Is there another link where I can download the refreshed profiles? Downloading the actual profiler program again doesn't do it because that is only 10 mband the size of the file I need to download says it's 14 mb.
I have no problems downloading other programs even though I am on a slow dialup connection. Thanks for any input. |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you for that info and please forgive the lengthy absense of my response to you. At least now I can get some profiles. I think they should have waited a bit longer to release the 3.5 version, at least until they had all the bugs worked out. |

| Posted: | | | | this is the first i've seen of this kind of error, since you are american I assume you are buying region 1 discs... and therefore you really should not have to be entering many titles manually... after you have manually downloaded and put in the list manually, have you tried updating... is it still failing? | | | -JoN |

Also I believe the default is to lock fields you edit so even if there are updates found they may not be processed unless you unlock them in the cases where you have manually input/edited the profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I thought that only applied to Disc ID's and Genres? |

Also I believe the default is to lock fields you edit so even if there are updates found they may not be processed unless you unlock them in the cases where you have manually input/edited the profiles. No fields are automatically locked except for RRP and disc info (if you tick those boxes in the options). All other fields can be overwritten. Genre's are NOT locked by default. For all changes I recommend previewing these and only accepting the fields you want on each profile change. You can right click on the list of updates - select None - and then when previewing each profile update tick the fields that you want to be changed. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Yea , I have the same proublem been trying of and on for a few days now. I do have high speed connection so it is not due to dialup connection , their must be something up with the server it is being downloaded from, I also tryed the manual download better start speeds but still frezes after about 3 mb downloaded. Sad when you get results like this from a product you paid for. |
