| | Posted: | | | | hello i intend to catalogize my dvd collection but i was wondering if it is possible to burn the catalog on a dvd and play it in the dvd player so that i can be able to browse my catalog with my dvd remote in my tv

| | Posted: | | | | I've been contemplating doing just what Skip said with outputting to a TV and using DVDP to select movies to play.
However, you can easily create a photo DVD using one of many off-the-self solutions. Nero does it I believe and comes with a trial. |

If yours has this capability, DJ's idea makes it extremely simple to do what you want to do ... Skip Hey now, some of us still have to pay a mortgage.  The TV thing sounds like a good idea in theory, but it starts to break down for my family. As it stands now, the television and the computer are in separate rooms and two different people can be using either and not bothering the other. Hook them up and now one person is monopolizing both devices. |

Hook them up and now one person is monopolizing both devices. why not use a media server just to serve up the pictures to the TV? I'm using Twonky (version 4.11) and a PS3 attached to the PC. (note I couldn't get v5 to work correctly) I'm using this to play videos and music on my TV which are stored on the PC. But displaying photos is also an option - you would just need to select the correct directory to be indexed/displayed. Then on the PC just select the folder with the covers (and ignore the sub folder with the thumbnails). | | | | Paul |
