I was wondering if it is at all possible to make a new entry (movie) in DVD Profiler, like if I have some home movies, the way I've done it so far if just find any movie online and then change it, but I recently found out that online all the incorrect information is shown.
I hope someone can tell me how I can do this? |

Give your DVD a title and click Add DVD. You will then be able to enter all the details you want to your new Manual Profile. When you update your Online, it will show up there as well.
Happy profiling! |

| Posted: | | | | Is this to post for others to see in your on line collection?/ or just for your own Profiler list within the confines of your own PC ?? You can download a blank profile from ADD FROM COLLECTION /ADD BY TITLE/uncheck download profile /enter your personal title/add/ download.. voila .. keep it locale , and when or if you upload your collection to your own dvd profiler on line only your notes and title will be there no individual photos or scans of artwork will be allowed as this area only reflects the actual upc or disc ID recorded in the data bank for comparison to that DVD Identity. edit Oops Caleb beat me to it.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | You can also create it by changing the UPC# of a profile to something like M502.
Can be helpful if you recorded a movie off of cable and want all the cast/crew info quickly instead of having to enter all of that manually. Then just edit out some of the other data that doesn't pertain to a home recording, such as Date of Release or Media Company. |

That's right, unfortunately any images you add locally are not uploaded to your online collection. You could look into phpdvdprofiler and phpmyprofiler - I believe these can be used to offer much more flexibility to your online collection, but you will have to host it yourself. |

It pulls the cover images from the main db on-line. If, however, you have your own website you can use phpDVDProfiler. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I hope someone can tell me how I can do this? Upon what do you base that comment. Read our Rules we use the data from the film credits. if you are wanting to Contribute information from your home movies to the database, the answer is NO Invelos does not acceopt such Contributions, you can create them locally but NOT for Contribution purposes, in which case you can use whatever data you wish. *sigh* JoN has it correct in deciphering exactly what this post was all about., and no I didn't think Skip was shouting at all.., just made certain on two points that Koror understands exactly what it is he was trying to accomplish.., I just WISH people wouldn't make their questions so cryptic in nature.. and provide more detail in exactly what it is they are trying to do.. Home movies? New Entry? trying to change it? Online information is all incorrect?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. *sigh* What did i shout at, jon? You don't understand the difference between shouting and emphasizing? Let me help you. THIS IS SHOUTING. THIS is emphasizing. BTW, Jon the part that threw me off was the part that i highlighted. And the first part of my comment specifically addressed that point. As a matter of fact is he talking about HOME movies (which is one thing) or home-RECORDED movies, the part of comment that I bolded led me to conclude that he was referring to home-recorded movies, he then complicated it further by referring to the online. Further in his reference to the images, if he is talking about home-recorded movies then where is the cover art coming from, he doesn't have any. It would be custom art? of some form. In which case a thorough review of the both the Program and the Rules would have answered both his questions. Now you have forced me into seeming to be far more critical of the OP than was my intention. One more thing relative to my initial question. The user states that the Online data is wrong, while we will acknowledge this is a possibility. He doesn't state what his basis for that conclusion is, IMDb? LOL, the credits for his home-recorded copy against a retail version or some other unmentioned standard. Just that they are wrong.<shrugs> In short, his post was unclear thus my response. I looked at his collection and, almost, all of his titles are appended with [AVI] or 'DVDRip'. Based on that, I got the impression he was talking about home-recorded movies but didn't really want to admit it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
