Is it possible to change the titles 'Owned', 'Wish-List' and 'On Order'? I was contemplating using the profiler as a sort of database for all the movies I've seen, not just the ones I own. Anybody do this?

Thanks.

Short answer:- NO

But you could have a separate DB and call that Movies, as opposed to "default" for your main DVD DB.

Or, you could create a custom language file and change "Ordered" to "Seen" or something like that...

Thanks for the replies. How do I go about creating a custom language file?

Download the Master Translation file from here.
A rough introduction what to do can be found here (top of the page).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

"To ensure you have the latest translatable strings, download and save the master source file, then use the Load Keys option to load the translatable strings."

What the hell does this mean?

I'm lost..

I'm lost also.

Where is this "Load keys option"?

And then: "In the translation editor...",

What translation editor?

Can anyone clarify?

You go to tools/options/system/language/edit

You get the translation file and you can change any expression you want. This is normally to translate from english to the user's language : example  director > réalisateur (in french), but you can also use it from english to english (or italian to italian if it is already an italian translation) to change something you do not find precise enough (for example, change last name to family name...)

Brilliant stuff, thank you. I wonder if many people use the profiler to do as I'm doing? I now have Owned and Watched, I think it's pretty handy doing it this way.

Personally I used the Watched feature for watched... and since I do need to keep track of what I order and have a huge wishlist I use those sections as intended.

So I'm not the only one with an obscenely huge wishlist? How many profiles are on yours? I'm a few away from 8000 :/
