| Posted: | | | | I have tons of data on my computer, and I am going to be switching over to an entirely new system. I am really worried about losing everything I have, such as accounting files and sensitive client information, if things don’t go as planned. I am considering online data backup? But a few friends have recommended a few other products... Has anyone used this service? Gossip is the art of saying nothing in a way that leaves practically nothing unsaid. - Walter Winchell |

| Posted: | | | | You could also get an external hard drive backup unit, which don't cost very much at all these days. It's then quite easy to restore everything to a new system. I did exactly that when I upgraded from my last computer, and it was a flawless transfer with no problems. | | | Corey | | | Last edited: by Katatonia |

| Posted: | | | | Marie or Daisy: An external hard drive is an excellent choice. You already have off-site back up at Invelos, all of your data, including personal data, like notes, tags and even purchase price are saved. The only thing they do not save is your Cover Art. I have used an External HD for years and it works fine, and you can use Invelos in the event of a catastrophic failue. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Skip I don't really think that M&D is a Profiler user (no purchase icon, forum registration today, first post). My guess would be "product placement" for that linked website. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Good catch, Karsten. Sneaky way to advertise a product/service. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe, Karsten. And if that is true, as I noted we ALL already have off-site back-up through Invelos and if it came down to a third party there are some sites I would recommend, never heard of hers/theirs.

I can only echo these sentiments as this is just what I did and I got pretty much the same result | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |
