| Posted: | | | | The eye loads as it always did and changes to color. From there, the program gobbles up the CPU and never loads. I have removed and reloaded twice but no luck. When I first upgraded it was slow but said it was converting the database. I downloaded the garp66 layout and that worked fine. Since then, I have not been able to view anything in my collection and te program just hangs up. Any thoughts? |

| Posted: | | | | Shouldn't be a problem with that setup.. It has to be with a running background such as virus/ firewall.. You could try a number of things.. 1. I would check the msconfig section and check all background running aps. 2. Try safemode and see how Invelos starts up and runs 3. Uninstall 3.5 / turn off Firewall-virus program., then reinstall 3.5 check the startup 'eye' and the program running see how it performs.. then turn back firewall virus protection.. 4. Check for all Microsoft updates including SP3 .. 5. Run some regular maintenace tasks on the XP windows ..... including a registry scan . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | If the "ALT" variant didn't help try the same with "CTRL", this resets the display settings of DVDProfiler. If you closed DVDProfiler when it was minimized it sometimes happens that it doesn't start correctly anymore. If it really is a total freeze it has been reported before here. I think Ken is up to it. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | The CTRL version at least produces a screen sho that shows some of my collection. I still get the hour glass and cannot navigate from that point without getting a Not Responding message. I have tried everything recommended in the posts and followed your link. Should I try to remove from control panel including the database and reload? I have the database backedup but if it's a corrupt file would that not translate in the backed up database as well? This has been an upgrade that sure doesn't feel like it! |
