| Posted: | | | | I used the new facility in the latest version of dvd profiler to download some children of some box sets.
The children downloaded perfectly, all with a collection number of zero. And they appear correctly when the sort key is name.
I tried sorting by collection number so that these would all appear together but they don't appear in the list when sorted by number.
So I have given them all a collection number.
I then tried sorting again, but still the profiles don't appear in the sorted list in dvd profiler when the sort key is collection number.
I have tried repairing the database. I have restarted dvd profiler a number of times.
This is the latest version I am using.
Any ideas? | | | Paul |

Not trying to be funny here...but have you looked at the sort title under Personal for the titles?

I tried sorting by collection number so that these would all appear together but they don't appear in the list when sorted by number. I don't really understand that part. Are you saying that when you sort by number they get actually lost? Since they are box set childs they will always be grouped together with their parent unless you filter the parent out. I don't know what happens when box and children have a collection number, but when only the children have a collection number then the entire box is sorted on the spot with the highest collection number. e.g. Some Title 580 + Box Set (0) - Title A 231 - Title B 346 - Title C 581 Yet Another Title 582 | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I added the profiles a couple days ago, so have restarted the program a number of times. They show in the ALL and in the owned list (when the list is sorted by Title). | | | Paul |

Steve not absolutely sure what you mean by this but yes, they have a perfectly valid sort title. | | | Paul |

Some Title 580 + Box Set (0) - Title A 231 - Title B 346 - Title C 581 Yet Another Title 582 what I mean is.. When sorted by title Coupling Series 2 (collection number 394) - Coupling: The Complete Second Season: Disc 1 (collection number 1395) - Coupling: The Complete Second Season: Disc 2 (collection number 1396) when sorted by collection number, 1395 and 1396 don't appear in the list. I'll do some screen shots and add these so everyone can see what I mean. [screen prints removed since problem has been resolved] And yes, these two children are NR but the others which are missing are PG so it isn't a parental controls issue. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

just handles the same, with this difference the box will move to the possistion for that collection number, else it takes the possition for the child collection number You have sorted it out. Thanks. It was because the sort was ignoring the collection numbers for the children and I had to find the number for the parent. and then I found the children under that. So they were being shown but not where I expected in the list. I feel really stupid now. I used to have some amount of intelligence but what little I had seems to have dribbled out of my ears. | | | Paul |

I'm obviously over the hill and ready to be put out to pasture. I've been tearing my (what little remains) of my hair out trying to understand for a few days. At least one of us knows what they are doing.. | | | Paul |
