| Posted: | | | | I've seen this capitalized both ways in submitted contributions as either Sci-Fi or Sci-fi in the rating details of various films. Opinions... ? | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | No opinion. I suppose it is possible that this could conceivably be as inconsistent as everything else hollywood does. So one film MIGHT say Sci-Fi and the next Sci-fi.<shrugs>.

| Posted: | | | | I have seen it both ways on the cases... in those cases I do as it is done on case. for the occasions that it is SCI-FI on the case I go with Sci-Fi only because it is closer to what is on the case. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I also saw both on the covers, and I will not let me be bothered which way people will enter it, it is not that important in my opinion greetings Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |

| Posted: | | | | Despite the fact that there is so much sci-fi out there, I'm old enough to remember when sci-fi was considered a derogatory term. When literature worth reading/viewing was science fiction, and kiddie stuff, space opera, and monster movies were sci-fi.
Does this minor captialization question really matter that much? It didn't to Forry Ackerman... | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Skip Yes, I have. You, in particular, are very peculiar. Forget capitalization, remedial spelling might be an answer. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Opinions... ? The general rule of thumb, for abbreviated words, is this...if the original word was capitalized, then the first letter of its abbreviation should retain the capital. So, if the words were written out in the rating detail, would you capitalize them? In other words, if you would write it as 'Science Fiction', you should write it as 'Sci-Fi'. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
