| Posted: | | | | After having the very buggy Blackberry Storm for a week and a half, I returned it back to Verizon and got a Samsung Omnia. Although very nice in concept, the Storm was very buggy (I received the latest version after December 18th). It would hang for minutes at a time, get exception errors, freeze, etc., aside from being slow. In addition to not supporting DVD Profile Mobile (which I knew ahead of time) and not being able to read your own .pdf files, I grew quickly unhappy with it. The Storm only reads .pdf files attached to email, but not your own .pdf files you loaded onto the Storm unless you purchase a $70 third-party software which you need to renew periodically. Why I wonder. I switched back to the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional PDA platform on the Samsung Omnia yesterday so I can once again use DVD Profiler Mobile. I print a lot of .pdf files that I need on my phone (i.e. Collectorz CD collection--I have over 1,200 CDs and it is very easy to buy duplicate copies if I don't have my list with me at the store!). DVD Profiler Mobile installed fine (aside that the Omnia had a newer version of netcf 2.0). DVD Profiler Mobile works great on it. Now I have to learn how to use the rest of the phone's features!
