| Posted: | | | | Hi, I have the dutch Robocop trilogy (8712626010845) with three dutch locality child profiles: 2512-8433-91B4-671D 239B-01EB-ACE1-8026 8509-A0C5-6E44-314E When checking for child profiles, profiler gives me these 3 disc id's only the locality is UK. Now, I wanted to upload the correct box set contents (meaning dutch locality), only when submitting the message I am getting is: 'there are no differences'. Does anyone know what it is I am doing wrong?

Netherland Box loads UK-Childs But when I change the locality of the child there comes a warning that there is a profile vailable, and upon a "Refresh Profile and Images" it downloads the already available netherland childs, recognizable by the netherland cover. I noticed this behaviour before, if the childs are available in more than one locality Profiler downloads either the one that matches the locality in Options. If that isn't available it seems to default to UK for R2-Discs. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | I wonder if this is connected to the fact that we can't choose the correct locality when adding profiles by Disc ID as well. I'm curious to know if there are any boxset profiles out there that contain UPC child profiles that exist in more than one locality to see if they have the same problem. |

| Posted: | | | | Easier said than done. We need a boxset that has been released in more than one locality (not necessarily with the same UPC) and the child profiles need to have the same locality and have the same barcodes and all profiles already need to exist in the database! I've already tried the Dirty Harry and the Spiderman films but can't find a match yet.
Edit: no luck with the Bourne films either. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | Would the problem would be solved if profiler only tries to find child profiles with the same locality as the parent? If so, that is going to be my first Feature Request, or should the question be posted somewhere else? |

If so, that is going to be my first Feature Request, or should the question be posted somewhere else? That would solve the problem, yes. Although if it's considered more of a fault than a feature then it really should be posted in the Technical Support forum. Edit: OK I found a test subject. There's a UK Spider-man trilogy box (5035822650114) and a Swedish trilogy box (5051162225416) and they both share the UPC for Spider-man 2.1 (5-051162-200918). However, it doesn't matter which boxset you download, you always end up with the UK child profile. I even tried changing the locality in my settings but no difference. So it seems, just like adding a profile by disc, the program simply looks for the first matching child profile in the database and doesn't take locality into account. I would have hoped this could have been fixed before the downloading of child profiles was automated, as I hate to think how many people could have wrong profiles in their collection now. PS. I tried fixing it and resubmitting in case it was a profile error, but the system found no changes when I tried to contribute. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | I am having this same problem submitting changes to 'Mork & Mindy: The Third Season' (EAN-501437949639). I've inputted the cast lists for every single episode this evening and am now told there are 'no differences'! |

I've just tried adding Robin Williams and Pam Dawber to that profile, and it let me submit them with no problems (I cancelled it afterwards). It sounds like for some reason the info isn't getting uploaded properly. Are you able to download or refresh profiles OK? The only thing I can suggest is you PM me the cast list as XML, and I'll try submitting it from here. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
