| Posted: | | | | At the moment there is a voting going on for Alias: The Complete Second Series (UK) [5-017188-813235] and I voted "no", because the contributor changed the original release Disc IDs to Re-release Disc IDs. He updated his notes by quoting contribution rules; "Added different disc-ids, Rule: If your Disc ID differs from the Disc ID in the main database, you may change it and re-contribute it if you are doing a wider contribution" Does this rule really mean that if one contributes something else too, than just Disc IDs, he can change 'em to re-release Disc IDs??? On all other fields we collect original release data. |

| Posted: | | | | No worries, I belive the original disc ID is still in the base... "If your Disc ID differs from the Disc ID in the main database, you may change it and re-contribute it if you are doing a wider contribution, but don't make a specific contribution for this reason. All Disc IDs will be stored in the main database for a future development of DVD Profiler." Ole | | | We are all at the same age, only at different time... |

There can be numerous disc Ids for a given release. We aren't sure why this happens, possibly different pressings of the discs or perhaps even different manufacturing plants may be involved. We need to captuyre all Disc Ids. What I have done in the p[sat is I include my Disc ID data in my Contribution Notes, this way if you Contribute a new disc ID, I can see from my notes later on that my disc id has already been captured by the system and does not have to be contributed.

| Posted: | | | | Changing disc ID's is valid - but note that YOUR disc ID's do not change on a profile update. They are all locked. |
