I have some bad profiles of some of my dvd's.
I want to go online and change my dvd to a new profile. But it still needs to be the same collection number.

So how do i select a dvd, go online and select a new profile for it ?

I'm not sure what you are trying to ask, as it does not make sense with how profiler works.
What do you mean by 'bad' profile? 'Go online to change profile'...This doesn't make sense?

I don't think you know how profiler works. You type in the UPC, and then profiler downloads the data for that UPC, to you local profiler database, you can't pick and choose from different profiles, as there should only be one profile to choose from for each unique UPC and locality.

You can then upload you database to the online system, but you have to download into your local DB first.

Thanks for the reply.
Im pretty sure you are correct. That i dont know what im asking about. So im gonna try again

When i make my collection i often use the title of the movie to find it in the list.
Lets say that this gives me 3 hits on my movie.
I choose 1 and download that.
But after a while i see that there is a better movie description. maby it has a picture, and the old dont.
Now i want to change my movie with the new one, and still keep the same number.

YOU NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Go to the Help tab and click on;

"Adding DVDs to Your Collection"

You still don't understand, you don't pick the dvd using the title, you have to add profiles using the UPC, otherwise your database won't correspond to the actual dvd's you have bought.

You should always download the profile using the UPC, not the title. Searching for the title is useful if you don't have the dvd yet, but if you have the dvd you should always use the the UPC, as this is the only way to make sure the profile you have downloaded is the one which applies to the one you have bought. This profile will only apply (usually) to the dvd you want to add. You don''t pick and choose the one you think fits, that is not how this program works.

1.Download the same (on line) DVD as you have( upc/disk ID ) and want to change.
You now have two titles of the same in your Library If you can't download the same due to the same library UPC/location title then change the one in your library to another location.
go back to #1 and download the title., Now one title will be the new one and then one you want to eventually delete you will change the new title to the same purchase date and the same collection number as the one you currently have.
2. MAKE sure that the older title has the review chart (blue to green 0 to5 slide bar) is filled in as the new title will not be filled in. (more on this later)
3. Now copy and paste/fill in  the same notes / tags ( if any to the new title)..,
4. Compare both titles together ( from a search in your library and have the two together)
5. check that everything you want in the new to the old is exactly what you want including the scans
6. If your current scans are much better than the new then copy and paste.
7. Now since the review charts is empty in one and filled in the other ( both have same collection numbers and purchase dates) it will be much easier to figure out which one to delete.
8. Remove and delete the older title from your collection.
9. Now put the collection in order ( collection numbers/ and or purchase dates)
10. Your library will now be as you'd like .

Also do not, if you plan to Contribute the data, just assume that the data is correct and per the Rules. Many titles are not, so be sure to verify the accuracy against the actual film credits.
