| Posted: | | | | I'm a registered user of v2.x. I installed v3.0 and tried to run the DB import from my backup. It got all the text entries but about 20% thru all the images it locked up my pc. Had to crash it to recover. Did it twice.
I had to run the DB repair each time. finally, I just left it as is after the rebuild, and then tried to do an update of all profiles from the web. I am now missing at least 30-40% of all the covers. When I try to upload to My Profiler all I get is an "unexpected error" from the server.
This is not a bitch note - just informing the developer(s) what is happening so it can be addressed.

| Posted: | | | | Might be worth running the 'repair' option on the 2.X version before doing the backup. Then restoring that. Maybe there is something its not liking in the backup. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

Regards, Al Go back into the old version and do a File>Backup Database, saving to a different name, and be sure to include cover scans, etc. Close down the 2.x version. Updating from the online won't do it. Do a clean reinstall of 3.0 in a separate folder so you are starting fresh, then go into the program and do a File>Restore Backup and restore using the backup file you made with the different name. That should process OK. Any UPC that don't convert will be shown in an exception list at the end of the restore, and have to be processed manually to correct the UPC or Disc ID. I had 26 such. Call me if you still can't get it to work. | | | John
