| Posted: | | | | I just noticed the 'new release' feature in 3.5.
How do I change or mark other DVD's as 'NEW'?
Currently only 'HANCOCK' shows up this way, even though I just purchaced 5-6 new titles (not new releases, but NEW TO ME) that I would like marked as such.
Can this be done? (Or does it only look at release date for this?)
Thanks Raymond |

| Posted: | | | | It looks at release date, not purchase date. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | As Unicus pointed out, the highlight is keyed on the release date. If the new DVDs you purchased have older release dates, changing the setting for new release highlights will not provide you much help.
On the other hand, there are several ways to find your most recent purchases. You can sort your collection by Purchase Date (descending) and your most recent purchases will be at the top of the list. I use tags to identify what year I buy my DVDs, so I can filter on a tag for 2008 and see all of the titles I bought this year. My collection is numbered chronologically also, so I can just sort by collection number (descending) to see my newest titles.

| Posted: | | | | Thank you all. I set it to look back 360 days, this gives me a better clue as to what I purchaced more recently. Too bad you cant link this to the purchace date. |

| Posted: | | | | If you want to see what you recently purchased, but aren't concerned with the highlighting you can also try this:
You can also add the "Purchase Date" field to the Collection List by right clicking on one of the headers in the list (e.g. Title), go to "View by Columns", and select "Purchase Date". You can now sort by the purchase date. |

You can now sort by the purchase date. You don't even have to have "Purchase Date" in the collection list to sort on it. Just right click anywhere in the header line and go down to "Sort By" in the drop down. Of course if you have purchase date in the list it will be easier to tell when you bought a title, but it's not necessary to have the field appear to sort on it. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
