| Posted: | | | | I have a new release of Hancock. It is from Circuit City. Hancock 3-Disc Limited Edition.
It comes in a box with it's own UPC, that is not in the database.
The box contains the 2 disc edition of Hancock in a keep case and also contains a bonus disc in it's own thinpac and has it own cover art.
How should this be entered?
I was leaning towards making it a box set UPC of box as parent and the 2-disc edition UPC as a child and and the bonus disc a child using disc id.
Any input?

| Posted: | | | | Jim, I have a 3 Disc Ghost Rider Edition from CC (043396-209428) that is in the database just the way you want to do it. A Boxset for the CC Edition with the 2 Disc Edition as a child under it's UPC and the Thinpak bonus disc under the Disc ID.

| Posted: | | | | I can't see how you can make it a boxset as it's only one film in the set. I know it would make updates easier as it'd be linked to the standard release, but I don't think the rules allow it unfortunately. It sounds more to me like a 3 disc profile. Of course you can set it up as a boxset in your own database, but I think the CC UPC profile would have to be classed as a normal "Hancock" profile at least for the online. |

Thanks, Jim That sounds like the right way to do it. Most of my bonus discs from BB or where-ever are set up like this (already there under disc ID). But, most of those don't have the outer box with diff. UPC, so I just put the bonus' as children with the normal release as the parent. Sounds like you have to make 2 new profiles (the outer box and the bonus disc). I hadn't heard about this one, what's on the bonus? Link up some scans when/if you do em, I'll probably never see this otherwise as the CC here almost never gets in any of their exclusives. I did get lucky with the Apocalypse Now one, but all others have eluded my zip code. I had to be there when they opened Tuesday and have someone search the back just to get that one. |
