| Posted: | | | | Now that we can create custom genres, is there any way to assign a large group of DVD's all at once to the new genre? I have over 700 DVD's that I had assigned to the "Special Interest" genre (and that I had also created a tab for) that I would like to assign to a custom genre without having to do each one individually...is there any way? I thought of using flags but don't think there's an option to assign the flagged entries to a genre. |

It turns out that Custom Genres is perhaps one of the things that might work already. I have programmed it to work, but a couple of people have reported problems. At any rate, be aware that custom genres get overriden by a profile download, so I have been requested to program an automatic lock on updated Custom Genres which will be in the next release - but if you want to give V1.12 a try, to see if it works for you. You just have to lock the profiles' genres manually after the update until I release V1.13. Edit: Ok, I released it. Tested by doing a find/replace all of a custom genre, followed by "Save Validated Changes". The changes were made, locks were applied, and the changes thereby survived a profile refresh. Report any bugs in the BulkEdit thread of the Plugins Forum. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
