Do other programs show this anomaly too? Usually floating point errors nowadays only occur if the CPU is overheated or otherwise defective. Corrupt installations might also cause this, so if the error only occurs in DVDProfiler try a clean reinstall (uninstall first). If other programs are effected too download SiSoft Sandra Lite. After installing it perform the Burn-In-Test with 100% CPU usage and 10 runs Use the safe mode that watches temperature and fan speed. On an intact system this should cause no problems so watch out for unusual temperature rises (more than 3°C within one run). If the test passes without failing please come up again. EDIT: If you're running an overclocked system reset it to default values and see if the error still occurs. |
