| Posted: | | | | Hello. I recently discovered when I tried to add this title to my collection by disc ID that there are two different profiles for this release. Both are R1, but one is designated as being from the United States and the other is from Canada (Quebec). While I know many titles are released in slightly different forms in Canada (may it be packaging, etc), these appear to be the same exact version.
They both share the same UPC (883904-109891). They both share the same disc ID (C1407FFD8DB1B742 [REBECCA]). Looking at the scans of the Canadian version contributed by Ti-Zoune, it appears identical to the US version I have in front of me. Since they are both R1, which covers both US and Canada, does this really warrant two different profiles? | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page | | | Last edited: by Rizor |

| Posted: | | | | Are there any Canadian ratings printed on the cover? If there are then it's possible the same disc is being marketed in both regions, however two profiles are allowed so the Canadian profile can have it's own SRP. If there's no Canadian ratings info, I'd class any sold in Canada as imports and so no, there shouldn't be two profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I do see what appears to be Canadian ratings on the back of the US version I have in front of me (they're kinda small and hard to read). But all of the info (including SRP in American dollars, etc) that appears on the Canadian profile is still identical to the US one. I don't have a problem with it, I'm just thinking if they're the same exact release (same disc ID, same UPC, same exact art, same region) it might be easier to just maintain one profile.
I was in the process of updating and correcting the US profile when I noticed this. When I put my disc in to add the disc ID, DVD profiler mentioned that it had found the Canadian release. Not realizing the difference, I just downloaded that profile (which is a little better maintained since it has the cover art scans), got rid of the American one and started updating the Canadian one. Then I realized the difference and now I'm left updating two profiles that appear identical with the exception of the US vs. Canada (Quebec) thing.
So if anything, I'll just update the US profile. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page |

| Posted: | | | | I just looked over the Canada Quebec,, and it is wrong .. It is not the Quebec rating, if it was, ,it would have half French language on Front and Rear jacket !..
in this case there is NO French. if there are any small canadian type flags or ratings on the rear than it is just plain Canada locality.
It should be changed ..
The US disc of 883904-109891,, should be updated with the newer scans,, as the US version has only the same front- and poorly done scans . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | I'll try contributing my updates/corrections for the US release with Ti-Zoune's scans (giving him credit of course). If that doesn't work, I can do my own scans but they probably won't look as good. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page | | | Last edited: by Rizor |
