| Posted: | | | | Good day, Sirs,
I cannot add one specific DVD to my collection. During download of the profile Profiler (3.1.1) grumbles:
-- Error An error has occured processing this file. --
It's 4010232044051.
Does it work for you?

| Posted: | | | | At the moment it doesn't, I assume that this is because of the switch to 3.5.
But I'm sure that Ken is about to fix this. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Contribution releases were supposed to be temporarily suspended for the upcoming switch to 3.5, but some profiles slipped through. It has now been suspended correctly.
Affected profiles will give an error in 3.1.1 but will process correctly when 3.5 is released. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Can I assume that this is when the official (non-beta) release happens? I've not been able to get profile updates for a while now, and it is still the same with 3.5.0 build 1221. |

| Posted: | | | | Being unable to get profile updates for a while is not related to this issue. What happens when you try? | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Ken. I just get the:
Error An error has occured processing this file.
This occurs for each profile that DVD Profiler thinks needs updated, although the image updates without a problem. If I retry to refresh updated profiles, I then get told that all are up to date. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds like you need to perform a database repair.
You get there via DVDProfiler menu "Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Database repair ...". Perform a full repair | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Michael. I've given it a try, but currently DVD profiler thinks I'm up to date, so I won't know for a little while whether the problem has been cured. I'm not overly hopeful though as I tried the same thing a few weeks back, so unless the latest build has some extra tweaks... |

| Posted: | | | | You can try to manually refresh the profiles in question via menu "Online ->Refresh DVD from Invelos -> Refresh Profile only..."
If the error already occurs when trying to connect please check the UPC, sometimes the one in the local database is one digit to short (conversion error from 2.x to 3.x) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Every manual profile refresh always gives me the same error. I also checked the UPC by adding a DVD based on the number stored, and that worked fine. It just appears that I cannot update any profile at all. |

| Posted: | | | | Don't know if this is related, but I get "An error has occured processing this file" for The Godfather Part II and Part III and The Strangers, though when I tried it again, only The Godfather Part II shows up as needing to update (and I still get that error). BTW, these are all profile updates, not images. |

| Posted: | | | | Given that there has been some discussion on the updating profile problem in this thread, I thought it appropriate to continue here, but could perhaps the relevant posts from this thread be moved to a separate one? Anyway, just in case the following helps cure my problem with profile updates (which is very frustrating ), here is a screenshot taken from build 1239. Today's attempt had a potential 45 DVDs to update, and I would guess that about 30 of them gave the error, so the problem is not with all profiles. A few weeks back, I tried creating a new database, and then downloading my online collection as a way of starting again (just in case there was a problem with the original database that a repair didn't fix). This didn't cure the profile update problem, but did lose my DVD notes, and the cast photo information that I previously had. |

| Posted: | | | | I currently have 4 updates that I continually get an error on.
I am trying the repair suggestion made earlier in this thread.
Update: The repair seemed to work to fix the error problem. However, the repair also got rid of all the unused purchase locations (I had added them in order to update my profiles) I will have to add them all again. |
