| Posted: | | | | I've tried searching the forums for an answer to this but have found nothing so here goes.
Here is the problem I am having. I own 1395 dvds but in my collection window it says I own 1396 and 1395 are sorted. After renumbering the entire collection I still had the same problem so I went through the entire collection number by number and found that there was no number 848 so I reassign the entire collection again and still have the same problem but now there is no number 1. After reassigning the numbers over and over, for the past two day, I always end up missing either number 1 or number 1395 and always have the program stating I own 1396 (one more than I own). What am I doing wrong? |

I checked that and it is not the problem. This is a problem I am having with the programs "Collection List" display, not necessarily the online display though it is skewed as well. Thanks though. I would suggest start a new database. Restore from you current saved backup, but select "Restore Specific Profiles" tick all the profiles that are listed in the viewable window once done check that you have all profiles that you should then delete the old backup after of course saving the new one. Steve Thanks for the suggestion. Took a while to tick all of the profiles but even after performing the restoration and number reassignment I still have the problem. |

When people had this problem in the past, it because there was a stray "blank" profile in their database that can't normally be seen, but it appears in the list of profiles to restore. |

I did not notice anything that looked odd but will definitely go back and check again, paying much closer attention. Thanks for the advice. It definitely 'feels' like there is a blank profile profile. |

| Posted: | | | | Aaaah, I've got an idea what it could be. I once had the problem that a collection number was still assigned to a profile not longer on my owned list (ordered i think). I think in the "all" view you can show a collection number column and sort by that. If you flagged your owned DVDs before it should be easy to find it (or if you already have a guess which number it has). | | | - Jan |

| Posted: | | | | Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the suggestions and let you know the problem has been resolved. I really appreciate the prompt responses from everyone.
After uploading and backing up my database I performed a Repair Database then restored the database from the online collection. Unfortunately the problem was still there except now the missing number was somewhere between 1 and 1396. Then I did a database restoration from my backup file and still had the problem. Before going any further I did another backup and uploaded my collection online. Then, for some odd reason, I took a look at the collection online and discovered it was showing the correct number (1395) so I decided to restore the database from the online collection and that took care of the problem.
