| Posted: | | | | Somehow a couple days ago I accidently clicked (the auto select feature got enabled on the touchpad) on a refresh or search feature in DVDP 3.1. I canceled it repeatedly and it gave a warning that the database may become corrupt. It was freshly backed up so I continued with the cancel. Ever since then I get the following error when closing DVDP 3.1, "cannot create file databases.dod", pointing to my roaming folder in the appsdata folder. On Vista 32. Then when I try to restart DVDP 3.1 I get a message that DVD Profiler is still running. Yet nothing shows on the desktop or task manager. The backups I make are correct, yet the only way I can successfully reopen DVDP 3.1 is to reboot. Then it opens fine but gives the same message upon closing. Any ideas?? |

| Posted: | | | | If the database repair doesn't work, then restore your backup (which you did just before this). | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I have done both. Used the database repair utility and still get the error. Also did a full restore of the backup and still get the error. Also, I have completely uninstalled DVDP, deleted the previous install directory and did a fresh install (after a full reboot of the system) into a different location. Still get the error.
*edit* I think it's fixed. Went into the roaming/DVD Profiler 3 folder (had to unhide it) and deleted the dod file. Seems to be working fine with no errors now. Thanks for the feedback. | | | Last edited: by tamvegas |
