| Posted: | | | | Okay, I was going through some profiles to clean up actors and stumbled across this one in Remember the Titans. Brett Rice legitimately credited for playing the role of Coach Tyrell. Later down at the bottom there is an uncredited entry for Rice Brett playing the role of, you guessed it, Coach Tyrell.
Now my initial thought was that it obviously was a mistake. Exact same role and same actor's name, only reversed. I'm open to the idea that I'm crazy and Rice Brett does exist and had an uncredited role. My problem is that I can't find an actor anywhere with the name of Rice Brett. To take it even further, I'm having trouble even finding a person with the name of Rice Brett. Is there a Rice Brett out there somewhere? Can somebody provide me even the thinnest hint of proof that I should not make this change? |

If they include Rice Brett - add him.
If they don't then don't include him.
If he's in the online - but not in the actual credits - but the online is a direct copy of that site, remove him and submit with a note to say so.

Steve IMDb does not list Rice Brett in their credits. As a matter of fact, they don't list that name anywhere. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Steve The fact that Rice Brett is listed as uncredited should tell you that film credits won't help here. This is one of those pre 2005 profiles. You know, the ones that have uncredited cast locked into cement? As such, it would appear that I have to get something on the order of an act of congress to make a change. I don't have that so I'm trying to determine if the current information can even be considered possibly good. |

I personally would remove the offending then lock the cast list. I know it would mean not being able to contribute it, but at least you will know at least your copy is as "The Credits". I've had some recently whereby I have updated the cast listings, unable to find documentation as to why to remove so left them in, submitted my found changes, then removed the uncredited from my local and locked. You have "two" people credited for the same role and the only difference is the order/parsing of the names. I wouldn't apply this broadly but i think the absence of evidence in this case may be valid. I'd at least submit it. The common name parts for the same role is suspicious and the inability to find anything on the web for the incorrectly written name is evidence of a sort. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Steve I have changed my local and locked it down. I've also submitted the change. We'll see how it goes. I do sort of have a problem with this idea that anything pre 2005 is set in stone. There's a difference between wholesale removal of uncredited and a specific targeted change. I would think that was obvious, but I'm not sure if everyone is on that page. |

Worked mostly with Lynn Neal and Blye Stift. LOL, but only works for German speaking people. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
