| Posted: | | | | All of a sudden I keep getting the above error. Everytime this happens, it seems to remove a dvd from my collection. I'm glad I have an online backup, but it still is no fun to happen | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | Interesting. Do you have any details? Under which circumstances does this occur? Do all your DVDs have a "type" assigned (Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, DVD)? If yes do you have a reproducable scenario under which this field goes blank? Do you have any other database frontends installed that might mess up your DVDProfiler database? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Using Dutch translation with the theme/layout from DaddyDVD. Just turned off all plugins I had, and now the error is not showing. List of plugins: Collection Gallery CSV Export Profile Comparison Plus Trading Poster Trading Poster TG View Flagged DVD. It happened all the time, so no idea what tricked it, or how to recreate it, but I'm trying now to install the plugins one by one and see what happens (gotta love the backup ) | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | Now it doesn't show up, so it looks it was a glitch happening yesterday. I'll keep my eye open for when it happens again, and then will put a more detailled description here. | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | path of elimination. If it happens again? load a standard invelos layout: see if the behaviour continues? disable non invelos plugins 1 by 1: see if the behaviour continues? check your Microsoft.NET Framework version 2.0.50727?
anyway hope this was a glitch and that it will not occur again! | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. |

| Posted: | | | | I was adding prices to the personal section. So going to see if that might be a problem. | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | Might have found where the problem lies, but not sure if anyone else can recreate it.
I put in the price at the retailer field, and pressed enter. It then gave me the error that that shop was unknow (don't know the exact error-message), and if I would like to edit it. Then, when saying no, the previous error showed up. | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | It's reproducable. But I don't think it's an error. This message simply shows that you'd have to enter the dealers name into the database and not only into the "dealer"-field. You do so by clicking onto "Yes" when asked if you want to edit your dealers and in the next window you enter the name of the retailer. Error gone, with the additional advantage of having the retailer on "speed-dial" for the next shopping tour.
EDIT: Oh S**t, this obviously corrupts your whole database. Don't try to reproduce it!! After reproducing the misbehaviour each and every dataset of my local database is corrupted. Looking for a cure now. I'm coming up again.
EDIT AGAIN: Cured! Database repair while DVDProfiler isn't running did it. After this you'd need a complete refresh of your database with all "local-only" data gone. The following data disappeared for me: Overviews, Cast, Crew, Disc-Info | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
