Hello,

I don't seem to be able to have problems getting the editing tools to do anything while editing my profile signature. None ot the buttons  [B,I,U, justify, Bullets, IMG, Link] seem to work while editing my signature. I have been on many forum boards and know most of all the codes to get the text functions I want, but for some reason I can't do it here for my signature. When I click the icons for the functions nothing happens but I can Use them on the forum post, just not my signature.

What am I overlooking?

Can you give an example of what you're trying to do?  as you cn see, the tags work in my sig and I just resaved it in case something changed since I originally created it.

Try using the editing buttons to set the bold/link/etc.  Also note that you can currently only have one image and one link per line.

If you're trying to create links in the sig, try the following but be sure to remove the space after each [ bracket.

What I've done for my signature is to create a fake post to get the code and paste and copy the text from it when it appeared corectly in the post preview screen. I don't know why but the buttons don't seam to work in the profile editing zone.

Thank you Dr.,
that is the code I was looking for. I tried using regular html, and all the other combinations of url, link, a href I could think of with the brackets but they didn't work. I don't know why the [a href] link didn't work before.

Nuthin. Just tested it, as AESP_pres already wrote, the buttons simply do not work.
For the moment I'd suggest that build your sig in a post reply, here the buttons do work.

cya, Mithi

PS as the tread-starter you should be able to edit the subject line, maybe include a "Bug:" so Ken might notice this problem.

Mithi,
Thank you will edit the thread title, and also add "Solved" or something similar.

OK so part of my question was answered satisfactory thank you all who submitted answers. The big part of my problem has been solved.

It was broght up that the buttons I tried using simply do not function. Fortunately there is a work-around to the problem.

As Mithi suggested I added "Bug:" to the thread title and edited it some to indicate that help has been given, but it is something that should be looked into.
