I was getting this on 3.1.1 when trying to Add New DVD, and changing the release date.

Just downloaded the 3.5 Beta and continue to get the same error.

Tried doing some searches but not finding anything.

Any ideas?

TIA

try a database repair (tools / options / utilities) if you get this looking at profiles.

If it's actually whilst changing the date then check you are using the correct date format
i.e. dd/mm/yyyy for proper UK dates.

It's when trying to add (or search) for new dvd's.

I do the following:

Add DVD to Collection
Add by Title tab
Change Release dropdown menu to anything, get error.

I haven't been able to replicate this with either version.
It may be possible that it is related to date format. Can you confirm that both your Windows and Profiler are set to the same language? Or you haven't changed Windows date format from it's default?
The only other option I can think of is perhaps corrupted info in your online list that's causing problems. If anyone can remember the names of the files, you can safely delete them and Profiler will simply redownload the info next time you start it. Unfortunately I can't remember what they're called!

Hmm, It could very well be corruption. Several of the first titles that come up are blank, and the other fields are jumbled.

For windows, I'm set to English (United States).
Short date = 9/29/2008
Long date = Monday, September 29, 2008

Profiler, I can only find Localization/Language = English. Don't see anything about time settings.

That's the right option: the local language one.
In my version of Profiler I have both English (US) and English (UK). I don't know if this would affect the date format or not, but I thought it safer to check, just in case.

I seem to recall seeing that error before - turned out that the user was missing the Tahoma font. Installing that font fixed the problem; my (sadly vague) recollection is that he was unable to determine how the font had gone missing ... sorry I can't seem to find the details ...

Thanks! This finally worked for me.  I put the Tahoma font on just incase. I do seem to remember a while back I was getting a font error. I guess that turned to corruption of the online list.
