Life With PlayStation is available now as a free update to Folding @ Home. When you choose folding @home, you will be asked to d/l an update. Then, upon restarting folding @home, you'll be asked to download another update. After the second update, Folding @home is renamed "Life With Playstation" and you'll have two channels to choose.. Live Channel and Folding @Home channel.

The update is free of charge.

I didn't find settings yet (at all) for the user number or team number in Folding@Home. The announcement even mentioned that they'll have their own ranking system now. What's going on? No more DVD Profiler Folding Team?

Just hold down "square" and down on the D-pad to switch to the old F@H screen.  Then, hit "triangle" and select "Indentity".  Everything that was there before is still there.  It's just a new interface and section.  You just need to get familiar with the controls.

Hopefully, LwP will convince a lot more people to join the fight against Alzheimers and Cancer.  I'm glad I can listen to individual songs on my hard drive or playlists.  I, also, enjoy watching the weather patterns on the daytime side of the globe.  I'm sure they will be adding additional cities to the fold over time.

Also, the WU calculations have gotten more complex as well (for increased accuracy).  The Cell is running the same calculations as their new GPU2 WUs.  That has slowed the app down slighty for those that already noticed it.

Thanks Ascended.

I had played around with it again earlier and eventually figurted out the key-combo already. That sad paert is, they tell you what to do when you first start the program, along with the EULA and stuff. Of course I had skipped right through that

LOL...most people skip that and the "help" section.  Did you know you can bring up the music interface by tapping the "square" button twice?  I love that!

I never quite liked the PS3 cranking all the time and after the latest version of the nVidia cores, I've switched over to that as my primary folding means.  With three 8800's plus a 9800 in the DVR, I'm cranking out a packet every 2-3 hours per card and earning over 17k PPD.

Besides, the PS3 is typically being used to play games ever since the newest Star Wars game was released.  (Tip: If you "accidentally" die at the end of an area with tons of bad guys, you get to re-kill all those bad guys but you keep all the XP you earned prior to dieing.  Repeat a couple times for extra levels.  Just be sure not to pass the auto-save marker.)

Thx for the help in the program.  It's hard to find human beings that aren't too self-absorbed to help a worthy cause even if it requires minimal effort/commitment.  I tip my hat to you, sir.

EDIT: And, I tip my hat to the others helping out as well!
