| Posted: | | | | Soory, is BABEL production studios... The studios credited in the Babel open film credits are: Anonymous Content Zeta Film Central Films ... and some other, there are no credits in open or end film credits for Paramount. Anyway it seems that Paramount (specifically Paramount Vantage) is the production company, sources: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449467/companycredits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babel_film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paramount_Vantage It is rigth or wrong a contribution with: Paramount Vantage Anonymous Content Zeta Film | | | Updated List of Accepted Birth Years | | | Last edited: by Kluge |

| Posted: | | | | You answered your own quetion. There are three fields in 3.1 and you list the three Studios involved, there MAY be an credit for Babel at the end of the , check the Copyright data you will find at the end, but that would not change anything, even in 3.5.

| Posted: | | | | Paramount Vantage was the distribution company.
Wikipedia says: Distributed by Paramount Vantage. IMDB says: Paramount Pictures (presents) & Paramount Vantage (presents) To back up IMDb's data, the back of the DVD case also says Paramount Pictures and Paramount Vantage present...
The 'presents' means they were the distributor.
Now, the rules tell us to "List the Studios in the following priority."
Theatrical Release Studio(s) Production Company(s) DVD Distribution studio(s) if there is room available.
If we follow that rule to the letter, it should be:
Paramount Pictures Paramount Vantage Anonymous Content | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | @Skip: I've checked Copyright data, it is 'Babel production', there are no reference to Paramount on film credits.
@Unicus: In italian localization the DVD Babel is distribuited by 01 company and RAI Cinema, again no reference to Paramount, the only sources reported in contribution are IMDB and Wiki.
There is no room for distribution company. | | | Updated List of Accepted Birth Years | | | Last edited: by Kluge |

| Posted: | | | | If there is no mention of Paramount in the film credits then the contribution is wrong. I normally list all the companies from the opening of the film, then if there's room and there's another company mentioned in the copyright they go next. The DVD label goes last if there's still room. From the sounds of it, this profile should read:
01 (is this the right name of the company?) RAI Cinema Anonymous Content
Though it's hard to say for certain when you can't see the credits yourself. |

There is no room for distribution company. First, your original post made no mention of locality. Second, the DVD distribution company comes last in the list of priorities, and is left off when there is no room, not the theatrical release studio. Were it me, I would simply copy the studios from the credits and list that as my source. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Though it's hard to say for certain when you can't see the credits yourself. 01 (yes, it is the right name) and RAI Cinema are only distribution company, there is no room. My dubt is if is right to report a (probably) Theatrical Release Studio when is not in the film credits (and/or cover), but we have only an info from web. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babel_film Quote: Babel's ultimate $25,000,000 budget came from an array of different sources and investors anchored with Paramount Vantage, which changed its name from Paramount Classics, with Babel as its premiere production and inaugural motion picture. Here http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=babel.htm Paramount Vantage is cited as Distributor This is the official site http://www.paramountvantage.com/babel/ | | | Updated List of Accepted Birth Years |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I thought you meant 01 and RAI were the theatrical distributors. Of course if they're the DVD distributor then you're right, they go to the bottom.
I would say that if there is no mention of Paramount Vantage on the DVD (either in the credits or on the cover) then I wouldn't include them as we have to rely solely on 3rd party data. I'd be happier the 3 studio fields containing data we can verify from the disc. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
