I know that Invelos recognises when a UPC is too long, but what do you do when the code is 14 digits long??  I really didn't want to have to just use Disc ID only .. ( besides the disc id is the same as the USA locality. This is Canadian locality.. ( lots of french)....
trying to submit this new release... BUT Invleos won't allow this UPC says it is wrong..
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Try leaving off the last 2 digits and go with 883904107835.

agreed left part only, the 50 is the expansion barcode to 14 digits as required from 2005

Quote:
GTINs do not replace UPC numbers. Companies that currently use the UCC-12 (UPC) on their products should continue to do so and do not need a new UCC Company Prefix. GTIN is strictly a new term, and is part of the 2005 Sunrise initiative. This initiative, underway in the US and Canada, has two objectives. First, retailers must upgrade Point of Sale (POS) systems to scan and store EAN-13 symbols in addition to UPC symbols. Second, all supply chain participants are encouraged to expand the GTIN field in their databases to 14-digits to enable all forms of the GTIN.
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

It would be nice if Profiler could be updated to recognise these extra numbers as we've had occasions in the past where the UPC on various releases has been identical but the extra numbers have been used as "volume" numbers.

I agree to that fully !!
Have that problem too with some Belgium releases.
The base barcode is for all the same. But 20 or more different movies are released with extra numbers behind it.
I entered them now without barcode , as there is no other way.

Very typical of FOX/MGM releases. As others have said, just leave off those two end numbers and it works fine.
